Hsiao-Tzu Tien

Hsiao-Tzu Tien graduated from National Taiwan University of Arts (Master of Fine Arts in dance). She has worked with Shu-yi & dancers Company, Century Contemporary Dance Company, Anarchy & as an independent choreographer & physical designer.

In 2007 she received a scholarship to American Dance Festival. She participated in the project Young Star, New Vision sponsored by National Culture & Arts Foundation in 2008, 2010 & 2012 presenting her works Frost, Road & Traveller. In 2009 she performed at Asian Performing Arts Festival Chocolate by Mikuni Yanaihara & Pub by Century Contemporary Dance Theater. Her work Pause won the Special Prize of 2009 Taiwan Creative Dance Competition.

In 2011 & 2014 Next Choreography Project held by CHOU, presented her works Stem & They dig a hole under their eyes. In 2014/15 she was part of Fragment 31’s Dance X-Change project presenting her solo work at Dance Massive & at Taipei Arts Festival. She premiered/performed in her full-length work Hole at TaipeiNational Theatre in 2016, presenting a sold-out season at Avignon DanceFestival 2017 & will tour Taiwan in 2018.
