About
Steamworks Arts

Steamworks Arts creates, presents and produces new Australian work in collaboration with artists and companies working across contemporary theatre, dance, circus, performance and film.
Works have garnered critical acclaim and toured regionally, nationally and internationally.

We  are committed to shaping an Australian performing arts culture that reflects and engages with our evolving society and the wider region, while actively supporting access, inclusion and environmental sustainability.

We champion the voice, presence, leadership and creativity of women in performance.

TROPHY Selected for BOOST

We are delighted to share that our current project in development TROPHY has been selected for the 2026 Australian Cultural Fund Boost campaign.

This means that thanks to the ACF Boost program, your donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar with a funding ‘boost’ up to $5000 from Creative Australia.

TROPHY has strong potential to be staged in sports and recreation centres across the country. With 78% of regional Australians participating in weekly sporting activities, we see future touring opportunities working with local councils, regional venues and presenters.

TROPHY represents a continuation and amplification of the impact Sally, Natalie and their collaborators have made in regional Australian communities. By consistently generating creative outcomes that reflect diverse life experiences, we aim to bring new and unique performance experiences to local audiences.

TROPHY will be ambitious and tender, funny and playful, raw and compelling.

Creating TROPHY in regional towns and with local clubs brings with it a fresh set of challenges, and we invite your support to assist us travelling to and connecting with these communities. We want as many people of all ages and sporting codes to see our show!

You can make a tax deductible donation to our TROPHY ACF Boost Campaign HERE
