Tristan Parr is a classically trained acoustic & electric cellist specialising in contemporary music performance & sound design for Theatre & Dance. He has toured extensively throughout Australia, North America, Asia & Europe & has recorded for Germany’s SWR & ABC Classic FM. 

As well as freelance work Tristen also divides his time between silent film band Viola Dana, noise duo HzHzHz & the band Fall Electric. Tristen is a founding member & sound designer/composer of the arts collective PRAXIS who presented Dark Matter as part of the MoveMe Festival 2016.

He has composed scores for; Yirra Yaakin Theatre, AIVDT, BuzzDance Theatre, Louisville Ballet, LINK Dance Company, Barking Gecko, Praxis Collective, CANWA, Weeping Spoon, & contributed to sound design for PTC & Black Swan STC. Tristen has won numerous W.A Music Industry awards & in 2013 was nominated for a Helpmann Award for Best Music Direction.
