Daisy Sanders

Daisy Sanders works collaboratively to create live performance works combining physicality, text, and interactive/immersive elements. Her current artistic focus is on cycles of energy, waste and rest within bodily and social ecologies. Daisy has a 2013 Bachelor of Arts, Dance (WAAPA) with 2017 First Class Honours. Her practice-led artistic research project titled 'the edges of resting and going' explored sustainable ways of moving, working and living. Daisy has been an Artist in Residence at Bundanon (NSW), Abbotsford Convent (VIC), Canberra Contemporary Arts Space (ACT) and in Perth at Spectrum Project Space (A Resting Mess, 2017), Chapel Space and St George's Cathedral. Daisy’s work has been presented by KAGE as part of Dance Massive (PACES, 2015), The Blue Room Theatre (Status Room, Season 2, 2014), Fringeworld (2014), STRUT (2013, 2017) and PICA (KISS club, 2017). Daisy has been generously supported by The Australia Council, The Department of Culture and the Arts and Propel Youth Arts. She was a 2017 Young People and the Arts Fellow (awarded by Culture and The Arts WA) and the 2009 Young Canberra Citizen of the Year. Daisy is co-creator forVOSS/Flesh & Bones (Micromove & Kiss Club 2018)
