Danielle Micich

Danielle Micich is an independent choreographer, director and performer. Graduating from Victorian College of the Arts she relocated to Perth as a company dancer for Buzz Dance Theatre, toured internationally with Squint and was a recipient of an Australia Council Young and Emerging grant.

Danielle was the Artistic Director of STEPS Youth Dance Company for four years.

In 2011 she performed in Wish with Humphrey Bower (winning awards for Outstanding Female Performer, Best Individual Performance & Members Choice 2011). Danielle was commissioned by Buzz Dance Theatre, QL2 and was the Assistant Director for Food, a co-production between Force Majeure & Belvoir in 2012. She was Assistant Director on Sydney Theatre Company’s production Perplex. Danielle choreographed Barking Gecko’s1507 & Driving Into Walls (nominated for the 2012 Helpmann Awards, winner of a 2013 Equity Guild Award and touring to Sydney Opera House in 2013). Her work Shiver in 2012 was invited to perform at the Australian Dance Awards then toured regional WA. Danielle premiered her new work Overexposed at the State Theatre Centre of WA in 2014.

She is currently Artistic Director of Force Majure.
