Jacqui Claus' performance is a tour de force. Such was the spell cast by Standing Bird 2's solo performer and co-creator that I barely shifted in my seat for the hour of the performance.

A riveting physical performance, full of wordless eloquence and edgy sense of danger. She exudes both fragility and strength, vulnerability and purpose. At times I was imagining a young Sylvie Guillem doing a fast-paced Butoh dance.
