Libby Klysz

Libby Klysz is a producer, director, teacher and performer. She has worked for a variety of companies over twenty years, such as Perth Festival, PTC, The Last Great Hunt, Black Swan State Theatre Company, Barking Gecko Theatre, WAAPA and The Blue Room Theatre (including five years as Chair of the Board). She is a current board member of both Chamber of Arts & Culture, and CircuitWest, and a PAWA judge. As a freelancer she has produced many independent projects, recently including The Golem, and The Apparatus (Humphrey Bower, 2020 & 2019), Wonder Woman (Laura Boynes, 2019), and BANG! BANG! (Scott Elstermann & Shona Erskine, 2019). She has produced tours for The Last Great Hunt, Barking Gecko Theatre, & Cut SnakeComedy; and directed Charlotte Otton in the heavily lauded Feminah (2019). Libby heads up Variegated Productions, with award winning shows such as Frankie’s (2018),The Man and The Moon (2016), Ramshackle & Kitsch (2017). She is an original performer with The Big HOO-HAA! Libby teaches in schools and universities, and also creates community engagement programs. She is Associate Director for Black Swan State Theatre Company’s The Tempest in 2021.
