Sian Murphy

Sian Murphy is an artist, publicist and social media manager living and making work on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja. Sian graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) with a Bachelor in Performance Making in 2019. Sian’s recent writing credits include BITE ME (The Blue Room Theatre), Just Kidding (TILT), This Heaving Mass (TILT), Kebab (600 Seconds), and Orbit (ATYP). In 2020 Sian was the recipient of the Fringe World WA Emerging Artist Award and her work BITE ME was shortlisted for the coveted Martin Sims Award and nominated for a Performing Arts WA Award for best new theatre production. She was a member of the 2020 ATYP National Studio, developing a short work Revolution Is Coming, Maybe? With mentoring and dramaturgy by Jane FitzGerald which has been selected for publication in 2021 by CurrencyPress. Sian is passionate about Western Australian art organisation and works as an independent publicist and social media manager to engage new audiences and create pathways to seeing live performance.
