Steamworks are thrilled to have spent a productive two weeks at the stunning AIR space ALL THE WE ARE located in Sandford, Lutruwita/Tasmania.

All That We Are is part of a new international movement of research – live environments fostering creativity, creative solutions and exploring methods of living. Founders Simon Spain and Victoria Ryle have opened their home, property and lives to artists, researchers and organisations to engage in big ideas, reflect, be immersed in the extraordinary natural landscape and take time to refocus on the things that matter.

Project collaborators writer/director/performers Sally Richardson and Humphrey Bower worked on the creative development of their new project The Blue Of Distance

Leveraging the in situ studio space, they dedicated time to both writing and off site exploration of nearby sites in this enchanting and unique location. The breathtaking natural environment impacting and influencing the project's development and direction.

Their stay culminated in an in-house work-in-progress sharing session, providing a glimpse into their ongoing creative journey. To cap off the residency, the team hosted a delightful dinner for fellow residents, fostering a sense of community and exchange.

Stay tuned for further project updates and development in 2024.
