TROPHY a Hit with Locals

The TROPHY team has wrapped a successful two week residency and creative development in the remote town of Karratha in the Pilbara region of WA.
Based at the Karratha Leisureplex, the team worked across various locations on site, visited local training sessions, while also interviewing women of all ages and sporting codes around town. They shared stories of sporting careers and aspirations, while reflecting on years of dedicated coaching, volunteerism, participation and support of the local clubs around the town. Younger players shared their hopes, dreams and aspirations, it was an inspiring few weeks!
The team also paid a short visit to nearby Port Hedland, where we locked in proposed plans for a 2027 development/presentation season. The Karratha residency culminated in a progress showing that wowed some of the interviewees and local audience:
..Inspired, in awe..contemplative, amazed, proud..emotional, captivated, wanting more..cultured, awakened...
...It was very emotional for me as I didn't realise that I had a story worth telling but the interview was awesome and it made me relive some of the best moments of my life and to hear my interview through the headphones was an unreal feeling that I cannot explain. I wish my kids were there to hear it.
...It was amazing from someone who doesn't really get into these types of shows, or to be honest, it is nothing I would have ever gone to see. I now have a greater respect for your team and Natalie, it definitely has me excited to see the finished production and I will make sure that I put the word out to everyone I know!
...It was my first time experiencing something like that and it took me out of my world and into another world, if that makes sense. I felt like I was living the moments of each speaker.
Thanking our wonderful team on the ground; Sally Richardson, Libby Klysz, Natalie Allen, Kate Heeney, with Janelle Allen, and support crew off site including; Louis Frere-Harvey, Georgia Smith, Joe Paradise Lui & others.
