JULIA in York

Our production of JULIA wowed regional audiences at The York Festival last weekend. Solo performer Natalie Allen powered on the dance floor and received standing ovations from the enthusiastic local crowd.

We were thrilled to be invited to be part of the new look York Festival supported by Circuitwest and WA Department of Sports, Local Government and Creative Industries. Steamworks Creative producer Libby Klysz and team stage manager Georgia Smith reported that audiences were really moved and 'loved the work'.

Natalie Allen is superb at the York Festival as JULIA. Her movement channels the pain and horror of what Julia Gillard must have experienced but also channels Gillard’s power and hope for the future. Dance has never been so powerful and expressive beyond words.. (audience post)

Next stop Margaret River at the HEART* on October 14
